@BLACK0NYX I understand and agree that this might be the case for a lot if not most of avatars, but for worlds sadly you don't get to that extent at all as worlds are way more difficult to sell and takes so much longer to make
for me most of my project make a couple of hundred dollars with 75 to 150 mostly made in the first 2 weeks and the rest made on the next few months through sales every now and then all of that for months of work
with the sales that comes after that contributing to barely being able to live by month to month from all the projects combined
I know that is sounds hard to believe but I genuinely don't mind providing screenshots of that
that's sadly what I mean....when a project is leaked there are pretty much no sales anymore for it leading to the sales that comes after that to not be there anymore which they barely makes the project worth doing at all
I'm sadly not actually profiting from any of my projects as they're barely bringing me enough to go month by month when all of them are combined in the long run
That's why it's very important to me as well as a lot of other world creators who genuinely don't make that much at all yet they put months of work to get something decent out, as sadly the continuous sales every now and then from all the projects combined is what makes most of the money that barely makes it possible to go from a month to month

I can imagine your situation. That's why I didn't return the download links.However, it should be understood that most of the people downloading files here, if they lose this opportunity, they will still not go to buy them. That is, it is not a lost profit for you, for the most part.
With all this, I appreciate the fact that you came to the community with a request, not a requirement, as most of the incoming authors do.

I understand that ofc and I wouldn't have came here at all if it was genuinely not damaging to me a lot
thank you again for understanding my circumstances as all creators have different circumstances individually with mine as a world creator being affected very badly to the leaks as I barely make what makes me and the people that relies on me to go through the month
I only wanted to request that from you because it was genuinely that big of a deal to my life and the income that I make from my only job
I'm no demanding or commenting on anything that goes on site at all, as I'm not someone who seeks to be involved in any sort of drama at all.
I'm thankful that you're a civil person who understood my circumstance and that my case is not a case of greed but a genuine need as it was really affecting me badly

Sorry for not understanding the first time what you were referring to on the second line @BLACK0NYX I just noticed rn while reading it again and didn’t want to not answer it as it would be quite rude of me to act like I didn’t see it after I did, especially that it feels like I diverted the conversation to not answer what you were referring to
Sadly even though this might be the case for certain creators or assets
for me the 2 major reasons why that still affects me a lot in a very visible way is more to do with the people buying the project in general not buying it anymore from the store as it’s published for free in here, as when most of the buyers see that the project is leaked and they can get it for free like a lot of people who are downloading it for free they simply don’t buy it and instead download it from here because a lot of people search if they can get certain assets for free before buying it.
with the other major reason being that when the project is bought and published by the few people who bought it vs being published on over a hundred account due to it being leaked it affects the value of the project massively as there isn’t that much point of buying it anymore for most of people as there is nothing unique about it anymore when everyone has it and publishing it
Sadly when it comes to worlds, customizing an entire world to look completely different than the main version is not as easy or quick at all as some assets like avatars, making pretty much each world look like the other which leads the project to be not desired at all for a lot of the buyers due to the amount of people having it published from it being leaked especially with little to no customizations (which is the majority of people)
I know that this is also the case if the project sold too much, but I’ve never had a project that has ever sold to that huge extent, even though it’s quite noticeable in my best selling projects which have considerably incomparable number possessions less to a leaked project.
the reason why I’m talking about these 2 reasons is because I noticed in 2 instances between the times the project got leaked that until it was reported to me and I issued a dmca to it that my revenue for the first project that got leaked which took about 42 days before I took action after noticing dropped from an estimated 6 sales to only 1 sale during the 42 day
and for the second instance, which took about 50 days of being leaked (vol.3) went down from 8 sales on this time period to 0 sale
I understand ofc that there are no general rule for all projects and all circumstances, and it will always differ from time to time and situation to another
but in my case it was more than just harmful for me to ignore at all which led me to ask my request for you, especially that mostly all my income comes from the sales that comes slowly after the release from all of my project combined which is way below what I need to be able to live a below average life with the people I’m taking care of, as it takes me 3 to 4 months working on one project with the sales period that was referred to at the beginning barely making any major difference as it only lasts for about 10 days to 14 with it making less than 20 percent most of the time from the expected revenue of the project on the long run (mostly for worlds in general but I’m only talking about my case)
I’m sorry again if it seemed like I ignored the previous message or diverted the topic, as I can see it being perceived as that, which wasn’t my intention at all until I read the message again rn and realized that. I’m thankful for you being understanding and truly sorry for the long message and explanation.

Sometimes the authors themselves contribute to this by setting unreasonably high prices for their products, or by certain aspects of their behavior towards certain people. As I said, there are many reasons.You need to understand that most of what is being sold officially will be leaked to the public sooner or later. An attempt to prevent this is the fight against windmills. All that can be advised to the authors is to be closer to the community, and try to pursue a mutually beneficial policy. When everyone wins, albeit to a lesser extent.
Yes, creating worlds requires a lot of effort. Especially if we're talking about developing from scratch. Object modeling, UV, scene assembly in unity, and much more. All this is work that certainly deserves respect. And I understand some of the reasons for the drop in sales, but the bottom line remains the same.
Otherwise, let me repeat myself once again, I understand you and the situation that has developed for you. You chose the right approach, that you applied adequately, and explained what was going on and why it was important to you.
And more. I would not like this to be a universal approach for all authors, in an attempt to prevent the spread of a particular asset. Otherwise, everyone will abuse it at every opportunity.

Sadly because of my certain situation I have to do my best to protect the little money I make every month as it's everything I live on with the people that relay on me for living
which is why I'm glad that certain people can take that into account at least as even though it might not affect other creators that much
in my case it sadly was affecting me a lot

I am planning in the next few days to make private testing links available very soon right after finishing the current updates for all of the worlds, as I'm making an update for each world to add additional performance for pc and quest but especially quest for all of my projects, as well as updating the unity version from 2019 to 2022.3.22f1 (the latest unity version VRchat uses) and the latest SDK.
as even though that the worlds run very well for what it has on quest, there was still a room for improvement on the performance side, the updates are nearly finished though, just making the final testing for each one.
I'm really sorry again for the late reply, and I truly appreciate you taking interest of supporting me.
