to go along if it does have this issue.

For anyone who doesn't see the .gz at the end of the file, go to your file explore and click on the 3 dots to go to options, go to the view tab and make sure the box "hide extensions for known file types" is unchecked, then you should see .gz at the end, delete that and it should change into a unity file, worked for me (Windows 11)
