      @EricZhou

      Thank you so much !
      If that's okay with you, could I add this file to the other post ?

      Wait, scratch that you actually made a new post xD
      I added it to the Q/A section

      Also, the user does not need to create a new "built" world, or replace any existing files to load the world, or even have Unity installed. They only need to have a valid "scene-StandaloneWindows64-somethinghere.vrcw" at C:\Users\UsernameHere\AppData\LocalLow\VRChat\VRChat\Worlds\ to work.

      That scene file being the world file (__data) itself, but renamed, since both are just bundles

          I understand, but I've discovered that a new player who has never created their own world in VRChat will not have the folder C:\Users\UsernameHere\AppData\LocalLow\VRChat\VRChat\Worlds generated, nor will the file "scene-StandaloneWindows64-somethinghere.vrcw" be created. As a result, they are unable to use the VRC Quick Launcher.

            A simple answer to a simple query. I explained it in ny own post, if that "Worlds" folder doesn't exists, then create it.
            As for the scene file, you don't create it, you literally already have it (That's what __data file is, just renamed)
            You don't need to have anything pre-created, you just rename a file and follow the instructions, the VRC Quick Launcher will work all the same because it does not care about Unity projects at all or built worlds, it only cares if the "Worlds" folder exists (which enables Local option in Instance Info) and if that folder contains a file it can read. (in this case: scene-StandaloneWindows64-somethinghere.vrcw, where "somethinghere" is whatever name will show up in the selection window in the VRC Quick Launcher

            My own post explains all that, and provides users with a file pre-named and ready to be placed in said Worlds folder, plain and simple.

            The whole Unity/Build World steps are reduntant.

              Thank you for your exceptionally clear explanation! Your method is significantly more streamlined and efficient. I’ve already updated the operational guide in the post with your approach.

                @EricZhou

                No problem !
                I actually happened to figure all this out through trial and error (yes, that includes deleting the Worlds folder and seeing what would happen in the Quick Launcher following it)
                Down to the naming of the world file, the standard format (as a matter of fact, scene-Android-something.vrcw is also a format for Quest worlds) and how you can basically have as many as you want in there with various names and they will all show in the list
                and mostly, how those files and the __data world files are both bundles alike, just named differently (but to be also careful to not confuse __data files that are ".vrca" files, which are avatar bundles, and the ".vrcw" files which are world bundles

                Though, I do thank you still, for you have taught me that "ba" and "b9" folder namings have different meanings (new vs old), which I wasn't aware of. Would had helped me in my earlier search of the MMD world file if I had known haha

                  Hi, I'm actually one of the original MMD world creators and even made the og MMD dancepads (sdk2.0) system, which I later helped convert and shape into the newer systems. Hearing this news has actually pissed me off to the point of rebuilding my own dance world out of spite. It's still in early stages, but I do plan on making the whole system for free once polished up and converted to C# rather than relying on CyanTriggers for the moment.
                  (which hopefully making it free will open the floodgates to more worlds that aren't behind these god awful codes and paywalls)

                  If anyone needs to get their mmd kicks off in the meantime you're always welcome to share this world link with whoever and hop in whenever you please. I'll be occasionally updating from time to time when I have freetime from life responsibilities.

                    A recent update caused avatars in offline testing mode to break, which would instead give the "ERROR" robot when the world loads. A later patch partly fixed this as your uploaded avatars and those from the "public" section of the avatar list will load, however cached avatars will still not be able to load as of now. Those dang ERROR robots don't even work with the world, and if you stand on a pad while pressing Start, it'll just go to using an NPC for the dance.

                    This sucks.

                        Is there a way I can make it so I can see my avatar?
                        I only see the error robot avatar!
