Curating a list of File Hosts and Asset Sites [UPDATED 09-28-2024]

It pains me to say, but you should update the listing now that VRChive is shutting down.
Rest in piece; Many thanks to NomNom, & the VRChive Team.Important Announcement: VRChive Server Shutdown
Hello @everyone,
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the permanent shutdown of the VRChive server. Recently, we received a DMCA complaint regarding the website, and we have been instructed to remove anything related to VRChive. While it’s been an amazing experience for everyone involved, it’s time to say goodbye. We will not be reopening VRChive.
*Some individuals who were unrelated to the core of VRChive have unfortunately gotten into legal **DMCA *trouble just for lending a hand. To prevent any further complications for anyone, we’ve made the difficult decision to end operations permanently.
But that’s not the only reason. Many of you know NomNom, who has been the sole developer and creator behind the website. Over time, the pressure of managing everything alone has taken a serious toll on his mental health. Those close to him have noticed this decline, and we’ve all encouraged him to prioritize his well-being over maintaining a website. After discussing it for over multiple weeks (it started in Early August), NomNom has finally agreed to step away from VRChive SERVER and WEBSITE altogether and will put focus on his mental health.
If you want to know more about the situation, feel free to reach out to NomNom directly, and he can share the full story.
Thank you all for being part of the VRChive journey. It’s been fun while it lasted.
Take care,
The VRChive TeamIn 24 Hours the server will be Permanently Shutdown. And we will not be opening it again.

I didn't get to see this message. I went to bed and woke up with the server only having a locked general chat. RIP VRChive. You were a good website.

I made sure to link it actually.

theres abit of a false fact there. while vrchive is shut down its not due to a dmca claim. in the server they explained the person who ran it was losing himself to the site and the site was taking a mental tole on him. the admins convinced him to let go of the site for his own sake.

Hi there,
so, after i saw how workupload can be very unreliable at times (and how folder download is just one by one and not a zip urgh...), i decided to tested a few site sited on the thread as sort of updateThe sites i tested were upload with a 1.70GB Zip file, and i have 2.5Gbps fiber
https://wdho.ru : the site has a "english" option now and can be upload with a upload limit of 10MB/s.
for download, it has what seems a 3Mb/s cap, just need to wait a few sec and click on the start button.
it's not bad, it's mehapp.bunkrr.su (now bunkr.cr) :
registration for upload is easy, name and password and that's it
upload was fast not issue on this side, but the download is painfully slow cap at 1 or 2Mb/shttps://cyberfile.me : need to create a account to upload, login and password same as bunkrr
didn't work for me at all, said "Uploading unavailable, no active storage servers found"https://mixdrop.ag/: create account with a temporary mail works, upload really fast, but download capped at 1.5Mb/s, ask you to disable adblocker and make you go through popup site
really not recommendedhttps://gofile.io : really seems to be the "go to" not gonna lie, really fast upload, really fast donwload
if you want me to test other file host, don't hesitate to ask, i think we really need to move from workupload to a different host
