Are there any guides on how to convert a .blend file (specifically one I did not make) into a functional VRChat avatar?

i have tried certain models like very few shantae models as an example. the armature below the feet were FUCKED beyond repair and readjusting them was a real pain. normally i'd prefer someone who has good knowledge of redoing the armature without the model to morph and stretch all over the place

@Letecus To piggyback off of this, if everything is AS NORMAL with the blend and nothing is messed up, and possibly looks identical to an fbx in blender, you could always try exporting the .blend to an fbx in blender. Obviously, in blender, when you export as an fbx it will auto-convert the .blend into an fbx.

@kh4m4ri Aight, the one I was interested in was https://smutba.se/project/ec4a3047-5796-42fb-85fe-67e6805786dc/, best of luck to ya
@Volttekka It seems this particular one was made for compatibility of Blender 4.0-1 and up. Most creators do not use past the 3.0's. If someone were to make this work, it'd be great. I'll give it a go, but I only specialize in Blender 3.0 versions.

FORGOT TO MENTION, the odds of me getting this to work are low. VRChat avatars need models made in a more simplified way and a .blend model can be made in countless ways. Who knows the level of quality or detail... There's literally a few hundred different ways to make a model, and VRChat can't use 99% of them.
However, like I said, I'll give it a shot!

@Volttekka Nah, the textures are the only part I'm struggling on. It's a little different in 4.0+. I can rerig it and everything, I just need the textures.

to save some trouble lemme help sending a zip file over to you @kh4m4ri
i even took the liberty to make the model fbx, hoping if the rigging is right and if not you could make another one fresh to replace the other oneit has the blend file, textures and fbx together

wasnt really hard actually- you just gotta go to file, external data and then unpack resources. figured that out myself when i looked up on how to get textures myself
