Have been lurking a bit but very sad VRChive is gone, especially from a DMCA... However, understandable the creator didn't want to deal with the legal bs. Surprised I haven't see anyone pull a "what if we re-create the site???" or "I'll remake the site" idea though. That is good- don't get me wrong, I miss VRChive, but it's too much of a risk to just take back the reigns and make a new site if whoever placed a DMCA claim is still rampant and willing to keep the site down at whatever cost. For now we just have to find new sites. If anyone is interested, here is a thread dedicated to other sites and file hosting sites!

@picturesque you just need to ask a mod for an invite and they'll create a one time link for you

@Kaze Where can we ask a mod?
wrote on 28 Sept 2024, 07:02 last edited by@tacocrazytacoos They were talking about asking a mod on the vrchive server for an invite, like before it got shut down and DMCA'd, but someone did drop links to a vrchive dump here and It seems like the user Loading is working on a site of their own that will be housing the dumped assets during their free time, which you can see the early stages here Hopefully you find this helpful.

wrote on 9 Oct 2024, 21:33 last edited by@tacocrazytacoos I was a Vrchive mod, the server is down, but something may be in the works I'm not entirely sure what nom wants to do or if it'll even be public anymore.

UPDATE: The original post was in fact taken down by the RS Owner
I assume it was because:- moving traffic from this site to another
- promoting a discord server
- promoting a RU site I'm grabbing at straws at this point
But whatever the reason must've been valid

That's fucking cringe considering this site literally used to get 80% of their Booth stuff from VRChive and the Discord surrounding it as well VRModels for Gumroad stuff.
VRC Piracy sites should be cooperating, not working against each other, though to be fair, that new website is a mess and should not have gone live before adding a proper category system, such as being able to filter per specific Booth model (Shinra, Manuka, etc etc), full booth sets and the list goes on.
Rn it's kind of a messy gathering of different assets with no system at all, I don't really like it.

@picturesque It was taken down for a straightforward reason: if you look back, sites like Akisoba and VRCGarden (and plenty of others) have consistently attracted the wrong kind of attention. They’ve often become havens for people with malicious intent, or ended up being used by owners to push other questionable software.
There’s no way to know if someone’s spreading a virus, no reputation system, no feedback from other users—none of the safeguards we have here on this platform.
Also, most of these sites usually get taken down pretty quickly. A simple ".ru" domain won’t protect you, and if you don’t know how to handle certain content, you probably shouldn’t be hosting it.
In the end, if you don’t like how the forum is managed or there’s something you’d like to see here, feel free to share it in our Suggestions Category. We’re always open to feedback!
@Airi This forum has been around long before any of those other sites, so I’m not really sure what point that’s supposed to make here.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions, and can have whatever assumptions they'd like.
I'm of the opinion of, if you don't trust a product, if you don't like a product, don't use it. I am well aware of the missing systems, and working on them. I've only been touching the website for little over a month now.
Ripperstore has all the rights to just not allow another platform be shared in here, for whatever motive they deem right.
Like anything else, its just another tool on the market, which makes us all benefit at the end of the day!

wrote on 26 Oct 2024, 21:00 last edited by@CodeAngel I appreciate the response and the clarification about why the post was taken down. I understand where you're coming from, especially sites like incognito .uno, which at first seemed fine before becoming the site that spread around a trojan upon entering, or when Vrchive was still up and running and was fine for awhile, then came in the missuse of their uploader and started posting/spamming shock images and eventually got the DMCA takedown.
At the end of the day, I only use this site for finding assets that I personally use. It's more convenient to me, and I've built trust with the Ripperstore brand going back to even the old site that was taken down. I feel most sites not sayin all get the assets for their sites from here anyway.
With a little bit of digging through the bumps and comments, you can eventually find what you need. I personally don't have any issue with this site and will continue using this site.
