looking for discord group that actively shares/trade/split cost for assets.
sharing here is fine, but i notice its always the same few people sharing. trading on vrmodels is just meh, the website is slow and clunky with crappy interface. i just trade with those who leave their discord because its much faster. splitting cost, does not exist at all anywhere. If more people split the cost, then buying stuff from booth/gumroad is like fking cheap lmao. I rather spend 5 bucks with 6 others than 30 alone

Users on VRModels (especially the admins and moderators) are also really intolerable when it comes to any speech they don't like, or things they can't/won't answer. They will ban anyone for anything they see fit. I would not use their site if you don't have to. That's just my 0.02!

Never really thought of using discord for this because I always thought they ban either the servers or the users since it goes against their ToS, but I guess sharing servers still exist, good to know. If your problem with the forum is that only a few people share why not become one of them? ^^ Also with vrmodels yes it's not nearly as good as this site people wise.. I got banned from making public posts for a while because I asked a question they didn't want to answer lol Most traders there are nice tho (usually)

@Mastema i get it. i have no problem with things getting shared outside, and i also dont mind contributing to the cost if it helps. because that is all i have to offer. but finding a place safe enough to do that is difficult, which is why i think many people dont do it here.
@Damnation i dont have much to offer now. i try to trade for things but because of work, i stopped because i do not have time to seek out trades. i dont mind sharing cost because that is all i can offer. if i can help turn a $15 item to $5, i think that would be nice. its not too expensive that it makes me broke. there use to be a discord server that got nuked or something. I use to share there all the time which then gets shared here i think, but yeah dont exist anymore.

My issue with using discord as a distribution central for pirated assets is how easy it gets to take down a server and likely ban all associated accounts. If you upload the assets on discord the assets would be gone too.
The same with any site that centralizes it uploads in their same servers. At least here a variety of file hosting services are used, but still it suffers from the big big issue of assets being able to be taken down.A discord server might only work as a small group of trusted users, not really advertised and I would say it's still somewhat risky.
I'm more into freely sharing and not trading, so I would find creating some kind of private tracker for assets a way better solution, files wouldn't be dying as long as someone seeds and you can have quite a good indexation and search functionality.
