Rep points questions?

its probably from somebody downvoting just to downvote (for whatever reason)
if youre really curious youd have to check all your posts (or notifications? maybe) to see what was specifically downvotedyou gain it back from getting upvotes, and it looks like some people have upvoted this post to get you back up
dont worry about it or if people do that, youre more likely to get it back than to lose it at the end of the dayedit: it was this post, and honestly probably because of the vrmodels link, some people dont like that site

Not sure if this is the best fix for now. I just upvoted your post in relation to the specific thread merely in case you may plan to send links, upload files upvotes etc.
Usually when you first start out with a new account, you might need to ask people for help to give you positive reputation in order to do certain things
Keep in mind, some features require a certain amount of positive reputation to use. I wouldn't panic too much since like the other poster said. It could just be some people not liking certain sites, I guess. Not your fault nor problem. Everyone has their preferences
You could reach out to moderators and admins for some advice and how the reputation system function if you want to know more. They're busy bees juggling a lot of things due to high traffic and as long as you have patience, they'll be happy to help. However, there should be a thread that helps explain how the rep system works, perhaps in announcement or support category
The system was introduced I think roughly last year. I did a bit of looking and the rep system is there for a combination of reasons. It's mostly there as positive reinforcement in encouraging participation in the community, could indicate overall trust factor on a user's profile (e.g. say like hypothetically bots or trolls causing discourse or trying to submit malicious links may have lower rep) and can be used to indicate support/interest in a thread.
Here are a few posts in relation to reputation you might find useful

I hope this might've helped answer your question. I just like giving points to generous and kind people that help me out of a pickle
