@Unicorgasmz hi, if I download the file from @hazzor, would I need to verify my license for the boop counter (as said in the setup video)? I dont want to look and open the file myself, because its a random exe from an "untrusted source"...
@11 Obviously download anything online at your own risk and make sure you have a good system in place to catch any potential bugs clinging on!
However, most things I've downloaded from here, this file included, have been safe as far as I can tell. I haven't tried the system yet since I'm busy with the USA holiday right now, but I will ping you after I start messing with it if you'd like. I didn't see anything in the video that indicated there would really be a solid "verification" method. As with most files its more of a "please pay me for my work" scenario as opposed to a firm "you will need a key to verify" and this whole forum operates in a grey area of that concept in general.From what I've seen in the file wonderfully and kindly provided by Hazzor is all pretty standard stuff from other unity files I've downloaded. Its got the unity file in there and instructions, and the applications look like they are specifically to enable the "lifetime boops" counter, which is more technical since it needs to keep track of things over a long period of time. You can definitely always just not use that piece, and instead just use the other, more standard, boop settings included in the unity file, since those should work regardless since they are just setting up interactions/parameters. I'm doing something KINDA like that since I have a non-furry avi and just want to add it to my human nose, so I'll only be using the general systems. If you are REALLY worried, you can search "setting up boops in vrchat" on youtube. There are step by step videos of how to do it all yourself without the use of this file.
I just am lazy and like that this creator made something that dumbs it down a bit for me, ha.Hope that helps! Sorry I don't have a lot of specific help to give but I'm in the process of learning myself! Good luck!
