[Tool] Ripper Search — search the forum from Booth & other stores (Chrome extension)
-
Hey everyone,
I’d like to share a free Chrome extension I built to make Ripper.Store easier to use while you browse asset stores.
What it is
Ripper Search opens a panel on the product page (Booth, Gumroad, itch.io, etc.) and searches the forum for the item you’re viewing — with download (DL) posts separated from regular discussions.
Main features
- Search by the name or URL of the current page item
- DL vs discussion — results grouped so you can jump straight to what matters
- Compilation (“mega”) threads — when you download, it opens only the hidelink for the Booth item on your page, not dozens of tabs
- LF (Looking For) requests with tracking and moderation queue status
- Favorite threads and notifications when a new download appears
- Downloads tab and search history (stored in your browser)
- Upvote posts and bump discussions
- UI in 6 languages (PT-BR, EN, JA, RU, FR, ZH)
Supported stores
Booth · Gumroad · Jinxxy · Payhip · itch.io · BuiltByBit · Unity Asset Store · Etsy
How to install
- Get it from the Chrome Web Store: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/ripper-search/hnofnogigohohmhnbjokglneeeignolj
- Log in at https://forum.ripper.store (required to search, upvote, and post LF requests)
- Open a product on a supported store and click the Ripper Search icon in the Chrome toolbar
Requirements & privacy
- Google Chrome (or Chromium with MV3 extensions)
- The extension does not send data to my servers — it uses your existing forum session and stores panel data locally
- Privacy policy: https://t1ng4.github.io/ripper-search/privacy/en.html

If you try it, feedback in the comments or on GitHub is appreciated. Thanks!
