@bunnypower Bro you smoking something, I have a seed box, and its behind a VPN so they aren't getting anything. Only recommendation is that people downloading are using a VPN as well. Also downloading/leeching the torrent is okay for people don't have to seed. And Torrents are the only way to prevent these ass hats with their DMCA from getting in the way.
The torrent is for later people lets say 2 months from now still able to get the download.
@betterclock Bro, a seedbox provider still operates under legal infrastructure. If your seedbox is hosted on standard EU/US providers (like OVH, Hetzner, or Leaseweb) or behind standard commercial VPN configs, they process DMCA network logs and abuse tickets by hash identification. The moment the copyright owner drops an automated abuse strike directly to the datacenter ASN registry holding that specific hash (a220c86d0a3872a358070875673659fbec3b25c5), the hoster will suspend your VPS instance to protect their own IP blocks from getting blacklisted.
Also, telling leechers to "just use a VPN" doesn't protect the swarm metadata from a direct DHT scrape. Good luck keeping that instance alive for 2 months when the abuse network tickets hit your provider's legal desk this week.

@bunnypower A properly configured VPN connection, will prevent abuse reports ever hitting a VPS period. The DHT hash only ever produces the external ip of the exit node, and using a known seeding safe VPN provider, means that hard to track who really owns that connection.
Second how DMCA law works is knowing sharing the content, You are free to download from a torrent as long as the user themselves never shares/seeds. Its how all these streaming websites can be up, and the users themselves never get DMCAs or law suits. -

BitTorrent is a simultaneous upload/download architecture; unless a user manually sets their upload limit to zero in the client advanced preferences (which kills their download speed slots due to choking algorithms), every single "leecher" is actively seeding fragments back to the swarm while downloading.
The DHT network maps every single IP active in the enjambre, including your "safe" VPN exit nodes. When an ISP/Hoster receives enough abuse volume attached to a specific DMCA hash, they drop the port allocation. Good luck to anyone keeping their client open on this. I'm sticking to safe direct links, this swarm is way too hot.
