Need some help obtaining just Pro 7.3.50 or specifically 7.3.027, whichever.
and no I can't just use the latest I tried it will not work for me.
please spare me the entire
"oh you can just use this version it has this version...."
every time I tried it has failed with missing materials.
this model im working on was designed around poi pro 7.3.027, and has things other poi doesn't?... idk.if a tutorial is capable of showing me how to upgrade to the latest without losing quality or performance, I would really appreciate someone taking the time to show me.

Not sure if it helps with the 7.3.027 but here is the latest blanket version which includes the 7.3.50 in it.
I honestly suggest using the blanket version for all projects. I never have missing materials unless its liltoon or crystal shader which I add in manually.

already tried using this and other up to 8.x with failures, it needs to be standalone 7.3.027 or 7.3.50 poi pro
even on the old now deleted gumroad page stated any other shader/version will fail, needs to be specific for whatever reason.
no idea why though i believe it might be due to something missing in newer versions that is supposed to be present in the older one. -
i have 0 clue on how i have never once had an issue using the latest blanket version of poi pro even with older models yet so many others have, cant tell if im just lucky or if im doing something differently, if i find out tho i'll let you guys know asap to prevent so many issues people end up having with it

I checked my archive, but sadly I don't have versions that old saved..
Have you tried forcing the new poi shader on missing materials? I had some old assets break when a material wasn't locked while updating poiyomi and forcing new version in the shader dropdown helped. -
Normally it's not rly a problem to update the Shaders from 7.X or 8.X.
the main part is to know what kind of Shader was used.
Grab Pass? Geometric ? ShatterWave ? Tessellated? Early Z?
That's mostly the part where things can end up looking different or the Effect is missing because the Wrong Alternate Version was selected. -
If it's turning pink when you lock it in, you're asking it to do too much... This happens after a certain version, and is usually fixed by turning the vertex option off.. or at least that's what I found when it turns pink for me.

The latest documentation for Poi states that when upgrading a material to a new version, you shouldn't directly select the new version. Instead, right-click on the material, go to Materials, and then select the option to upgrade the material.
This prevents errors on upgraded materials caused by modified or adjusted parameters in the new version. -

@ShadowxDark87 yea i'd like to see actual screenshots from an antivirus or something showing what it detected in the package before deciding if it is or if it's just a false positive
if you ran it through virustotal, stuff gets flagged as infected all the time without actually being infected, so you can't be too sure when it comes to that site -
Poiyomi alt discord was hacked for a few seconds, but this doesn't affect the packages or other parts of his work (this was confirmed in the announcement on the official server), so there's no need to be alarmed.
