They said they didn't remember where they got it from, but figured cause it was a vroid edit that it didn't matter as I was just wanting something free to work on. Well, I saw it was named "Ruki," so I reached out to her to ask her if it was hers. She said yes, and said it used to be a nitro freebie, but that it was no longer a nitro item and hadn't been for some time. I asked her if it was okay for me to keep it and use it, just for personal stuff, as long as I boosted the server, in which she the threatened to ban me and make a public blacklist about me. All because of a vroid edit, which she doesn't even own nor have the rights to. Ever since, I've just fucking hated her.

Like, yeah, I do use things from here, but it's because I'm so tired for paying money on assets and avatars that look good in the photos, but are actually ass when you pull them into blender or upload them to vrc. Creators catfish tf out of people with renders and crazy edited photos. Zarzar is a good example of this shit. Like, she literally paid someone to render a photo of her Ryan and Reyna couple, and in a lot of her photos, if you look you can see individual brush strokes from the person literally drawing over it in an art program, so the "photo" isn't even a photo anymore, it's a drawing. Like, I get it, you want your shit to look good, and obviously, it's not gonna look as good as the photos, but you should include in game photos that aren't edited so people can actually see what your model looks like.

I was so po'd when I purchased an asset from Cringy, pulled it into Blender and the meshes weren't even attached and there were obvious gaps. When I reached out to her about it, she told me that it was "acceptable" and she wouldn't be fixing it because it was an old asset and the "price reflects the quality" as if I didn't just spend $35 on 1 fucking asset. Like, be so fr. I ended up having to merge everything myself, which, for a $35 asset I should NOT be having to do. Matter of fact, I shouldn't have to do that with /any/ asset I buy. It's not my fault if you charge less for it being messy, you weren't transparent about that in the description. Why would I purchase something I have to fix??? And this happens /all/ the time.
I don't mind sharing my discord, but taking down publics legitimately makes no sense to me??? So weird.
I think the only creator whose attitude I don't really like is GutterCandy/Heartvr, RukiRei, and Mitzy.
GutterCandy has changed her name sm because she has such a bad rep with her trash attitude. I'll never forget being in her discord server and she made an announcement, complaining about someone editing her avatar and stating that it says in her TOS that aside from colour edits, anything beyond that isn't allowed, and a girl replied, sympathizing with her and telling her she was sorry that happened, in which GutterCandy literally replied to her in front of everyone saying, "Aren't you the person I also had to DM because you also broke my TOS about editing? You have no room to talk." Like, damn. She even ended up replying that yes, she was the person that GutterCandy had DM'd, but that all she had done was changed the hair colour. There's been so many instances of her just being a major bitch, and all of her avatars look ass in game.
And then with Mitzy, bro, every time I've asked a question in her server she always responds to me - and everyone else - like we're fucking dumb. The way she treats people who purchase her avatars is actually insane. I hate her attitude sm. But then has the audacity to make posts several times a week about how broke she is, that she needs money for food, a bill, etc. Like, idk, maybe if you weren't such a bitch people would actually give af and help you out.

Deleting publics btw, the avatars I most excitedly bought ALL had public avis I could try on and bond with, which made me want to buy it even more. Deleting avatars makes no sense. Like that creator of the Manuka who's on a war rampage to have every manuka avatar deleted. Someone said to me recently, "its not mean to protect your work!" but like, its an edit? Public avatars make the avatar more popular, that's why furry avatar bases explode in popularity. It's basically free advertising. If the creator goes out of their way to destroy people's work and get avatars people are likely attached to deleted, why would they want to go financially hand the creator money they worked hard for?
GutterCandy sounds like a raging narcicist. What do you mean its in the TOS you can't edit the avatar?? what? Why bother buying it? People buy the avatars so they can edit and personalize them.... If you're not allowed to edit the avatar then just put it on the vrchat store. lol. I swear I've heard that name before in controversy but I can't remember what it was.
As for the Mitzy thing, that's super frustrating. Just because vrchat creation is simple for SOME PEOPLE doesn't mean its easy for others. It's a learning curve. Not everyone has experience in unity, not everyone can instantly click with blender, and not everyone can understand programming logic. To treat people like they're stupid for not understanding something just pisses me off so much. Like of course it's hard.
Neffertity is a creator I can't stand stand, I've had friends accuse them of scamming them. They've also got online accusations of being a racist, blaming a child for being groomed, etc, which I found interesting but not a lot of informaton on it. I personally don't like them because when they released the Dovabrodian, they couldn't be bothered to test the DLCS, so people dropped like $80+ dollars and couldn't even use the dlcs. They then had to create a hour and a half long video talking everyone through how to fix every single one of their dlcs because none of them worked. In the test avatar it had hue shifts and customization weirdly missing in the full version, but actually hidden deep in the folders and not on the avatar by default. The worst part is they hid the tutorial in the discord so you had to prove purchase to even get the tutorial. The camera was also 20feet above the head making it really awful to use, and someone had to create a tutorial to fix their avatar for them. Egregiously, Neffertity then released the Dova Dog stating you needed to buy the Dovabrodian to even work because they didn't want to "split costs" or whatever for the collab, forcing you to drop 80 dollars for a dog avatar. They also had a weird tendency to @ everyone in the discord demanding you not make anything "zoo" related with their avatars, threatening to ban you from the discord etc, which I found really really uncomfortable and ended up leaving. Then they're shocked people don't like them and don't want to support them??
I've gotten to where I just make my own too. When I buy an avatar I tend to find most of the time I'm uploading is me fixing stuff, like buying a half built gundam with a missing left leg. Hell I've had some avatars that when you put it into unity, it doesn't even work! Missing scripts and WAAAAAY too many things slapped on it that when you hit upload, its just a billion errors. It's crazy though, the cheaper avatars around the 15$ range and free ones, have an extraordinary amount of passion and work. Even if they aren't perfect, you can tell the creator was super thoughtful and really put effort into it. It's crazy how that is.
I guess what I'm saying is, support the passionate scratch artists that really try, aren't shitty to their supporters, and ignore the slop creators to oblivion.
