Funding ripper store to come back?

So correct me if I’m wrong, but ripper store only shut down because it cost money to keep it running. What if we try getting people to pay/ get a certain amount of money raised for it to get started up again? Then start a thing where points, to get Avis, cost money or you do the original ripping process?

As someone who wasn't around whenever it was taken down, why was the website taken down? since the claim that it was taken down due to a lawsuit was false, what was the real reason it was taken down?
