@blackviperxvi Yup. Was super disappointed when I found out. I used to be a fan of hers, but there was one time when I was trying to work on my first model ever and someone gave me a vroid body edit. They said they didn't remember where they got it from, but figured cause it was a vroid edit that it didn't matter as I was just wanting something free to work on. Well, I saw it was named "Ruki," so I reached out to her to ask her if it was hers. She said yes, and said it used to be a nitro freebie, but that it was no longer a nitro item and hadn't been for some time. I asked her if it was okay for me to keep it and use it, just for personal stuff, as long as I boosted the server, in which she the threatened to ban me and make a public blacklist about me. All because of a vroid edit, which she doesn't even own nor have the rights to. Ever since, I've just fucking hated her.

@CreatureFeature that's stupid asf of her. Then again those creators back then (godfall and ruki) would use mmd models and sell the edits so i guess I'm not suprised.

I actually got permabanned from the godfall server cus of Lululemmon who was popular back in the day, I joined her servers she "partnered" with thinking Id find more creators but they were avatar leaking discord groups. mods dmed me calling me a dissappointment and permabanned me. I'm still in the ruki server but it still pisses me off.

its ironic cus they are cool using stuff they dont have rights to sell, but have goddamn meltdowns over anyone else doing it

@blackviperxvi It's honestly crazy, especially bc I actually buy the things I like, and anything I don't I delete, because wtf am I gonna keep something I don't like for? And I liked the vroid edit so I figured I'd ask. I did end up deleting it cause I didn't want the drama, but if she had just said like, "Hey, I know you like the edit, but I would kindly ask that you not use it. I appreciate you reaching out and offering to boost to kind of make the "transaction" legit, but it would be unfair for me to let you keep it since it is no longer a nitro boost option, and you received it illegitimately." That's literally all it would have took. You catch more flies with honey than vinegar.

Like, yeah, I do use things from here, but it's because I'm so tired for paying money on assets and avatars that look good in the photos, but are actually ass when you pull them into blender or upload them to vrc. Creators catfish tf out of people with renders and crazy edited photos. Zarzar is a good example of this shit. Like, she literally paid someone to render a photo of her Ryan and Reyna couple, and in a lot of her photos, if you look you can see individual brush strokes from the person literally drawing over it in an art program, so the "photo" isn't even a photo anymore, it's a drawing. Like, I get it, you want your shit to look good, and obviously, it's not gonna look as good as the photos, but you should include in game photos that aren't edited so people can actually see what your model looks like.

@creaturefeature I agree 100%. If a creator refuses to show what the avatar even looks like, I assume its slop. I genuinely just flip past the rendered avatars, and I've noticed in the showcases as well, they're using CRAZY editing like heavy flashing like a flashbang to ensure you can't see that the avatar actually looks dogshit. Like the honesty goes a long, long way. I remember some creators started banning rendered avis to be advertised in their discord calling it dishonest which imo it is. There's no point heavily rendering the avatar because that's not what it's gonna look like in game.

I also started coming here a lot because I got tired of creators attitudes. Insanely arrogant, extremely hostile. last year I dropped a ton of money on a specific creator (Reddo/Reddobear) just to recently get an extremely hostile email about entitlement to discord accounts and how she deleted all her public avatars from her shop to punish EVERYONE because there was a reddit post about people feeling uncomfortable with handing out so much information to these people. I regret buying from her, as I do most creators these days. I remember dropping 80 dollars on a couples set made entirely by mmd assets + were insanely outdated and broken and realized building gundams is cheaper, and half the creators use stolen assets anyway. So I stopped.

When it comes to buying avatars on the rare times I do, it's the ones that have pictures IN GAME and footage of the avatars. People only look at the pictures to see what they're buying, and they aren't buying rendered photos.
