I have a question About assets
-
I'm a VR Chat beginner. I've read that there used to be a feature that allowed users to upload avatars by extracting their personal asset URLs, but is that feature no longer available?
While there are avatars sold on sites like Booth, I don't know where to download avatars created by individuals that are modifications of those existing avatars. I don't want to spend time creating my own, so I'd like to find an avatar I like from a list of cute, modified avatar assets with images.In the gift section, I only see avatars sold on Booth. Are there no modified avatars? I'm looking for avatars based on Miltina, etc. I will delete this post immediately if there are any problems. From what I've researched, I saw an article in 2022 where many modified avatars were uploaded to RipperStore, but now are only avatars sold on Booth being uploaded?

@lirnq No, the feature you originally stated is no longer available. This was back then, when RipperStore was ACTUALLY an avatar logger catalog/cache. Now, it is just the forum. If you want edits of pre-existing avatars, you have to look for them. Be specific in your searches and find users who regularly release edits. Sometimes you'll get lucky and spot them in the gift category. In 2022, it was not strictly a forum. The only true advice I have is to keep looking. You're not looking hard enough (in the least rude way possible).

@kh4m4ri
Thank you for your detailed explanation. I thought so...
As I am Japanese, I came across that 2022 information on something like a personal Japanese blog site. The site looks quite different now, so I was wondering if it's no longer as easy to find modified personal avatars as it used to be, and I wanted to know the answer, so this was very helpful! Thank you.
You're right, I'm still not very familiar with how to use this site, so I haven't been able to search thoroughly; I've been looking at various content for about 3 hours now, haha. Thank you so much for your detailed explanation!
