Is it possible to rip avatars that are uploaded using vrchats build and test mode?

I'm pretty new to ripping and a friend of mine has a pretty neat avatar that they only use in build and test mode. I was wondering if it was possible to rip an avatar that's only being tested and isn't fully uploaded/published into VRC?
I tried looking into this but from what I can find there is little to no coverage on the topic, I apologise if the question is redundant.
