The CEO of Gumroad, Sahil Lavingia, has publicly admitted to firing all of his employees and replacing them with AI. He is now the only one working at Gumroad, and to do this he has screwed over creators repeatedly. Gumroad now has no support section. It is impossible to reach out to a human being for assistance without a massive hassle.Here is a list off other things Gumroad has or is currently doing: Taking a chunk of tips given to a creator from their customer. Banning completely innocent users for their work being "sexually suggestive" when it is no where near the case. Playing favorites and cherry picking by not banning specific N.S.F.W content creators who bring in a large amount of revenue, thus ignoring their own platform's rules for the sake of revenue. Increasing the amount of money Gumroad takes from creators gradually over time. Marking sales as being from "Gumroad Discover" when they really aren't so that Gumroad can take more of your profit. IF YOU ARE A CUSTOMER, PLEASE, STOP PURCHASING CONTENT ON GUMROAD! Many of these other options offer a better revenue share and are a much healthier platform for your favorite creators, as they do not have to face the stress of potentially being banned for no reason at any time, any day.For many creators, they cannot take the risk of leaving Gumroad due to it being the biggest platform for selling VRChat content and avatars, and if they move they are putting their livelihood in danger, but by purchasing on other platforms, you help prove that these other platforms are safe for them to move to.I am relying on you, the VRChat community, to do the right thing and help not only me, but every VRChat creator by being supportive of other platforms, such as Jiinxy, which now allows selling directly on their platform, and is a place where creators are treated kindly.
