@pissanon it doesn't seem like it... The popularity curve for this avi has taken a nosedive...
Of course, anyone that needs to know about new stuff these days can just go to the boothplorer page and sift through all the mass amounts of an-labo nails for outfits.
The big problem is when you have an avatar that is explicitly NO for R18, people eventually lose interest. In this case that's entirely warranted... Ruri is one of the better sfw avis on the platform with outfits however. But Ruri is also a 3 year old model with 3 year old model growing pains, an extra BIRP shader needed for the tears effect, and was, so far as I can see, effectively made to be the poster child to sell the STDW motion pack that doesn't seem to have caught on as any sort of standard for locomotion in VRchat for fem-presenting avatars.
And with this... now that there's a mochifitter profile for Ruri, a lot of people are content with taking the lazy way out instead of bugging clothing makers with requests.
I think there's also like one or two popular niche microcelebrity sorts of people that are Ruri users in the current year, and that's it.
All these reasons are why you'll never see Ruri take off in popularity again. There's other models now to go and request assets for, and when there isn't, mochifitter generally comes to the rescue.
