@melissadick I have been trying to look around since Uniii had it. I'm not sure if the creators are buying this system through private direct messages with the developer who made the Gonso's licensing system. Due to the nature of it, it would make sense if there is no digital storefront for the Gonso licensing system. Since there would probably be a troubleshooting guide if the creator made a mistake somewhere and needed to remove it from the model.
Trouble is, I don't know if I ask these creators where they're getting it from would result in me getting banned from the server for asking a simply innocent question

@LizEllie
I see, I am also hesitant to ask the question! Genuine curiosity might be mistaken with wanting to exploit the system. -
as far as i know the creators commission the system to the dev of the system through dm's

@melissadick Thank you for the ping. We'll wait and see until further info comes out about how the Gonso system works.
Until then, don't feel guilty if you have to buy it. I know, it kinda defeats the purpose. However, maybe one day there will be a better understanding. Not sure how long the system will last until someone ends up cracking it finding a failsafe/workaround. Apparently in the western market, protection services have been used before, but eventually they end up failing due to incompatibility with various assets/software in unity or someone figures out how to remove or turn it off
Please note, it is highly not recommended attempting to upload the avatar, even if you somehow manage to obtain it illegally via other means other than purchasing the avatars yourself. As you will be blacklisted from both the creator's server and their shop, so you won't be able to buy anything in future. Since apparently the system will send your VRC username and be placed on a blacklist. I don't know if the dev of the Gonso system gets notified as well though

Well, to give a quick update on my end of things since I will be going on a break for a while to spend more time taking care of myself and spend time with loved ones.
To not bore you to tears my health has not been too good for the past two years or so which happens to anyone at some point.
Not protecting or defending the forum per se. Doing it because we have rights as the audience to question the quality and safety of a product when we are debating if it’s worth buying. Need to show this since I do not think it was really a rational, fair and mature response to have thrown at me.
I know that not all creators are like this and actually treat their audience with decency. Trouble is, there are far more toxic creators than there are good ones.
Honestly, just because I am on a forum that cannot be censored by these creators means stalking, abusing, and twisting the rhetoric of what I said earlier, and on others posts who I noted have the gonso system. It is not a valid reason to treat anyone badly for using their own skills as a consumer to protect themselves.
Choosing to do the right thing for myself, being a responsible person by trying to find information to help me understand as a consumer. Authorities like consumer watchdogs recommend that you always verify the product by investigating the seller and how they treat audiences/customers.
Abuse is abuse. No excuses, no matter your reasons. You are not a good individual nor creator if you feel the need to abuse and violate a complete stranger’s privacy to validate your actions.
For example, just because I get bad feedback on a task I completed means it is a morally correct decision to find someone’s home address and go bully them.
Some creators will use their position for the wrong reasons.
Historically, trying to overcontrol something and failing has happened in history before multiple times when entities have tried controlling something and made it much worse. Which was what i was referring to.
Creators are not exempted from this factor. No one is, actually, not even me. When something is released into the world, it is no longer in your control but to unpredictability. Anything could happen, both good and bad.
For instance, introducing foreign animals to use as pest control only to end up as another problem. Where the foreign animals become the new invasive species causing damage to the environment.
Even when I clearly said and recommend buying their product. I was punished anyway.
My hobby is avatars, not learning how to code or fiddling with unity packages. Just because I visit the Nexus forums to mod Stardew Valley, so I can customise my character means I can hack into NASA for instance.
So, I’m not allowed to talk about any research topics, refer people to go buy someone products and the dev who made the function. All I did was merely suggest a safer way of fixing the issue.
The only reason I said to not feel guilty for buying it is because I genuinely understand buying digital products is always a gamble since consumers are not protected as much when it comes to areas like this.
When there have been repeated events reported around the community of incidents that have happened in Discord creator communities. It is getting harder for me to trust anyone is a genuinely decent person, and I feel more isolated each day. It is no longer a community nor a safe space when it turns into Lord Of The Flies or The Hunger Games.
If you never respected your audience and consumers, then all you perceive them is an asset/resource to take advantage and abuse only to benefit yourself and ruin others, just like any other unethical business.
We are expected to just blindly trust the validity of a creator regardless. Trouble is, it is hard to separate a creator to their works when they start behaving badly and not explaining anything to the consumer.
For instance, when you buy appliances, they always have a heavily and clearly detailed manual and troubleshooting guide anyone can understand. If that does not work, they have support services with professional people that treat you with respect, bare minimum.
In most business to consumer relationships. It does not matter what country you are in. If businesses commit anti-consumerist tactics or obscure vital information that could genuinely affect consumers in negative ways. We are always advised as a security and safety measure to no longer buy stuff from that shop, do not interact with the community and go somewhere else.

@CalicoPeach
That breaks the toggles however and will be difficult to-reassemble due to the scrambling that the gonso system does. -
bump for mochi :)) i hope someone can at least share files to someone who can break the gonso system
