How do I rip avatars in 2025?

There is an avatar recovery server on discord, they had a tool called SARS.
Since the VRChat update that encrypts your cache files, any new .vrca (previously called __data) files won't work. But the website they run after a small dono of 5$ you can have access to the thousands+ of avatars on their api/database, (the files are from before the .vrca patch so they still work). However if the avatar is not in their database then you might be out of luck on the ripping side of things, could just try to get a picture of the avatar and post something to see if anyone knows what it might be.

@Mischief9944 there is, but the way is a paid method, which is by using a vrchat client, also needing a paid method to bypass EAC.

I mean, SARS is open to rip privates every holiday and or event. But even when it isn't, I think u can only then rip publics. Which is okay but limited to the high valued avis, but even then there is another ripping service that changed where u have a daily limit to rip avis,privates idk if you can, but i think u can freely? But also publics available to rip from there services also
