WindowsPC is telling me "Detected a dangerous virus"! Is this file really safe!?

There’s no way to say with 100% certainty that any file is completely safe.
But Windows Defender, the built‑in antivirus on Windows,
often makes mistakes and shows warnings even when the file is not actually dangerous.

If the warning name ends with _ml, that means it’s a “heuristic detection.” In simple words,
Windows is just guessing that the file might be suspicious, even though it hasn’t really found a virus.

The problem is that Windows Defender will still quarantine (lock away) the file.
To use it again, you need to add it as an exclusion so Defender ignores it. Here’s a guide on how to do that:

In Unity projects, lilEditorToolbox can alert you whenever unwanted DLLs are included,
making it a more reliable safeguard🧐.
