Recognizing Efforts: Rewarding Members who Help Find Avatars and Assets in the Community
-
Dear Community Members,
We are thrilled to observe an increase in traffic to our website and it is great to see. As you all know, our forums have become a popular destination for members seeking to find and trade avatars and assets with one another. With millions of avatars available on VRChat, it can be challenging to find the desired ones, and this is where our community comes in.
With this in mind, we would like to extend our gratitude and reward those members who have helped others in finding the avatars and assets they were searching for. Henceforth, if someone finds the avatar or asset you have been seeking, kindly edit your post and mention the name of the person who helped you in the following format - (Avatar/Asset found by.....). This not only helps us in keeping track of the found avatars and assets and moving them to the appropriate category but also recognizes the effort made by the members who assisted in your search.
As of now, we are still evaluating the most appropriate way to reward those who have assisted in finding avatars and assets for others in our community. Although we have not made a final decision, we are exploring the possibility of using credits as a means of recognition.
In the meantime, we kindly request that you edit your posts in the specified format with the information "(Avatar/Asset found by.....)" If the desired avatar/asset has been found. Additionally, if you have any previous posts that have already had the avatar or asset found, please take a moment to edit those posts as well.
We value your feedback and would love to hear your thoughts on this matter. Please feel free to leave us your comments below.
Thank you for being a member of our community!
Best Regards,
The RipperStore Team

Are we going to be marking those posts that have dead links as found? I have noticed a lot of people using links that expire after a few days/hours. Will these assets/avatars still be considered found even though they won't be able to be accessed unless someone reuploads them?

@PrIsMaTiSm That is a good question. It can be somewhat challenging to determine a fair system as the original requester of the avatar has found it. A potential solution is to offer higher rewards for those who provide permanent links and lower rewards for those who provide temporary links.
If the desired avatar has been found but the link is no longer functional, you may contact the person who found it and request an updated link. Furthermore, the name of the person who found the avatar will be noted in the title, providing you with the option of directly reaching out to them.
In the meantime, we request that all posts be updated to reflect that the avatar has been found, regardless of whether the link is still active.
We appreciate your feedback and are open to exploring alternative solutions to this issue.

I was already doing this (minus the format), so I'm really glad to see it being encouraged ๏ธ added the format to my topics!
A lot of the users at the top of the reputation ranking are constantly helping members here and might not be getting enough credit from older posts not shouting them out! Please take a look through the ranking as well if you or any on the team have time. ๏ธ๏ธ

@SpookyVersace Don't worry, I still have many avatars and resources to publish on the site.
