Me and myself understand there are many nicest, kindest vrchat creators out there that still care about their community. Unfortunately, most problematic creators are more popular since they have many connections.

i liked reading it a lot. i think about things that creators do, and even though i don't know these creators specifically, a see a lot of similar behaviors from where i am in the community. it is genuinely so refreshing to see pushback and recognition that we can do better- and the reassurance that these things that are done are not beneficial.

i liked reading it a lot. i think about things that creators do, and even though i don't know these creators specifically, a see a lot of similar behaviors from where i am in the community. it is genuinely so refreshing to see pushback and recognition that we can do better- and the reassurance that these things that are done are not beneficial.

Huge creator, Torinyan actually has become quite problematic. Mass banning of popular people in their server, silencing people who speak up about it. and even banning and ostracizing one of their employees.
Currently is extremely hostile and bans for the smallest of actions. and when one of their longest business partners Polybunny. who has been a large contributor of assets and addons for torinyan avatars. had spent over a year of designing and planning a refresh/Update to the Tetsuko avatar, to bring it upto modern ish standards WORKING with torinyan for it. around the release of shoggoth it was retconned because of torinyans "evolving" standards. which was getting more Totalitarian. there is ALOT more to the fckn story which i will link a timeline of events post. (https://bsky.app/profile/yargon.bsky.social/post/3lvtmapkzkk2b)But to summ the recent event. Polybunny has decided over 2 yr ago to make their own avatar down the line. They painstakingly gathered references and created a design from scratch. and are in the progress of doing their own Robot avatar, with inspiration from their collaborative work with Torinyan. and they shared it with torinyan before they even announced it in their own server for their 2 year anniversary. which Torinyan immediately decided to take it as a personal slight of the highest order claiming direct Plagerism and using designs. "THERE IS NO COPYRIGHT ON MAKING A SMOOTH BODY ROBOT" and proceeded to ban and remove all polybunny assets and the creators inside their server and have a spy account inside the polybunny server. anyone who has spoken at all in the polybunny server has gotten banned without zero warning. as of 8/17/2025 Torinyan has decided to release a "new" avatar as a direct jab at polybunny for their new avatar.

The community that i know is left in the server are either yes-men or are too scared to bring up their opinion or speak on anything on the premise of getting banned. i might of missed a thing or two. but its all i can handle with how pissed i am. -

I did see a post about their previous stealing an inspiration from an artist and selling their stuff on store (need to find the link again bcs im forgot where i see it). Also, lots of their assets are overprice than other assets creators. Most people will not spend their 25 dollars for personal assets lmao. I dont wanna send hate to them, it is just too much money for assets and sometimes for 25 dollars you can get one meal from it or more. -
i saw that post too about cringy. it was really juicy because she didnt apologize at all, and then insulted the artist that she used as direct reference. totally doubled down. im gonna look for that post for a bit.
and yes, their assets are expensive. has their stuff ever not been 'on sale'? maybe thats the gimmick

Hold up the name babycakes sounds insanely familiar. If it's the same person I'm thinking of who is a moderator for a file-sharing Discord I used to be in that person sent someone to threaten me with being doxxed and put my original VR name and Discord info into a server full of people who harass others on VR because I called out their friend for being a predator.
