@Ashton-Peaches This has never grabbed my attention as a "problem." I neither perceive it as a problem nor dismiss it outright. My usage of the forums differs from everyone here. I log onto VRChat perhaps once a month to watch a movie. If only three people identify something as a problem among the entire forum user base, it doesn't necessarily classify as a widespread issue. When this matter arose a few months ago, I received more feedback stating that it wasn't a problem, and people didn't mind the bumping. I'm indifferent to any changes made to it or rules added. However, as evident from this post's lack of engagement, it's apparent that the community doesn't harbor significant concerns about it. We could make an announcement to get everyone's thoughts on this and maybe set up a poll to see where people stand. After that, we can decide on the next steps.

I believe you may not be fully aware of the entire situation. I treated everyone equally in that scenario, informing them that there were no rules regarding the frequency of bumps or +1s. The issue arose when certain individuals began systematically downvoting anyone who engaged in bumping or +1ing. Although only CodeAngel and I can see who downvotes, it became evident that the same few individuals were consistently involved. Additionally, some individuals took it upon themselves to act as unofficial moderators, instructing others to refrain from bumping as if it were a rule, even though it wasn't. I communicated with each of the individuals involved and went as far as resetting the reputation of one of them to resolve the conflict. Therefore, I did not subject multiple users to severe criticism or reprimand in that particular situation.

The entire situation led to additional issues with those individuals, and these problems were unrelated to the initial matter of bumping.

It should be a lot more stable now.

Utilize a UnityPackage extractor: This tool serves as an additional layer of security when dealing with Unity packages. It helps safeguard your system from potential threats.

Avoid importing .cs files unless absolutely necessary: These files can potentially be malicious, so exercise caution. Ensure that you trust the source, and be mindful of their intentions.

Verify the trustworthiness of forum users: We've introduced a ranking system based on reputation to help identify community members who are trusted. However, even with this system in place, it's essential to remain vigilant.

Your safety is important. If you come across a user who is posting malicious files, please flag that user and their post and reach out to me or CodeAngel directly. We will take action to ban such users from the forums.

In case you haven't heard, RipperStore will be shutting down at the end of this month. What this means is that starting from October 1st, 2023, all services and access to Ripper.Store will be terminated. We kindly urge you to download any necessary content, files, or information from our website before this date. Once the closure takes effect, the website will no longer be accessible.

However, our forums will remain operational. In the event that you attempt to access the main website after its closure, you will be redirected to the forums. So, for all those who exclusively use the forums, things will remain unchanged for now. Perhaps, there may be changes in the future, but as of now, they will continue to function as usual.

Can we please put an end to the arguments? Let's return to sharing avatars and being friendly instead of enemies. The downvoting is staying. @PrIsMaTiSm, you have the chance to change, much like how the Godfather did. I am willing to reset your reputation to 0 as long as you cease the arguments. If you continue to receive downvotes due to the arguments after I take this step, I won't provide any further opportunities. Here's a brief update for everyone. When you head over to the "chats" tab, you'll notice the addition of several public chatrooms. These rooms offer you the opportunity to engage in conversations, trade, share, or receive real-time support from fellow forum members. It's a small but exciting update that can prove to be quite beneficial Additionally, I'm continuing to work on the modifications for the voting system. I'll make sure to keep you all updated. It looks like most of you want to keep the downvoting, and I fully agree with that. But I didn't vote because I think it's up to all of you to decide. I'll make some changes though. I want to limit the number of downvotes each person can give and make it so one person can only downvote another person once a day. Also, there will be a minimum reputation required to both upvote and downvote. This is to stop people from creating new accounts just to vote.

One more thing, let's not use downvoting to target specific people. Just because you don't like someone, it doesn't mean you should downvote everything they post. Sometimes people here are acting like they are in high school.

We will keep this up for a few days. If it's a close vote I will keep the downvoting active but limit it.
