My issue with using discord as a distribution central for pirated assets is how easy it gets to take down a server and likely ban all associated accounts. If you upload the assets on discord the assets would be gone too. The same with any site that centralizes it uploads in their same servers. At least here a variety of file hosting services are used, but still it suffers from the big big issue of assets being able to be taken down. A discord server might only work as a small group of trusted users, not really advertised and I would say it's still somewhat risky. I'm more into freely sharing and not trading, so I would find creating some kind of private tracker for assets a way better solution, files wouldn't be dying as long as someone seeds and you can have quite a good indexation and search functionality.
