More meshes = lower rating for optimization
Runa is a pretty complex Avatar design-wise and she's still rated medium. Even if she was rated red, she'd be pretty optimized. However, for a lot of people it's simply very interesting to stay either green or medium. Right now she can be made green and into a backup/quest Avatar with just a few tweaks too. This is extremely important for marketability.
The average customer does not edit Avatars, they simply use them as base version and provided with the base packages. Also nothing about her being modular is false, she's meant to be used with the assets I provide in my own store. Believe it or not, but people being able to buy and follow tutorials is simply the preferred method for many people. People like you that have somewhat of a know-how make up a tiny percentage of my customers. I'd rather inconvenience the 5% of people that could use the mentioned changes you want than to inconvenience my other 95%.
Even if it wouldn't inconvenience the 95%, the number of people it's relevant to is often very small. It's often not worth putting much time into it after releases, especially when people learned how to do things over time.
I want to point out that the goal is not to make the perfect Avatar, yes in the end Runa can be optimized, made more editing friendly and so on but you need to move on with projects. Right now she's already 5 months old and I'd like to eat, meaning there needs to be new things releasing and not just tweaking things people learned how to use. New things is usually also what people want, it's good for them since they get more Runa and good for me because I like money.
About the pricing, they're more than fair. I know the quality provided in the store and everything added together my assets often only cost 5$ per piece in packages. Third party products for Runa are even more expensive than this. Even Runa herself is pretty cheap, considering people want 70$ (and more) for their Kitbash Avatars.
I came here to collect feedback and not just compliments, so even if I disregarded a bunch of your arguments, I want you to know that there's usually a justification behind the decisions I make, based on the data I get from my customers and fans. Of course this doesn't apply to everything, I'm not all knowing and not excluded from really dumb decisions. No hard feelings dear.
I'll keep your feedback in mind though for the next Avatar that is going to be in the works soon. I think you guys will like it. Initially there was a femboy furry Avatar planned but that idea might just get scrapped, no idea.
Also @DTS maybe for Halloween she can get a big witch hat~
Although by then she's pretty old, generally the life-cycle for successful Avatar releases is around 6 months.BTW, I really wanted to ask what countries you all are from? Gumroad offers a feature where I can adjust the pricing to peoples countries, because 10$ can be very little here but a looooot in another country. Maybe it opens up a way for people outside the US/EU to buy products properly too and receive official support.
I guess I'm just scared that people might abuse this with a VPN to pay much cheaper prices and ruin it for people that could actually need it.

@C0-Eve I think this is the one of the best and professional answers anyone could give.
The cost of most well done VRC assets is in my opinion fair and justified, because if this was done for any other 3D industry, can easily net minimum few hundred to thousands of dollars for a newly created character on contracted work. The prices of VRC assets has mostly settled on where it is, because that is where affordability lies for most VRC users.
From inspiration and concept > block-out > modeling/UV unwrapping > texturing > shading > weight-painting and rigging > optimization > everything else in unity > testing > fine-tuning. I mostly do environmental 3D renders because I absolutely hate rigging and messing with game engines, so there may even be more work required that I am not fully aware of. Not to mention the considerations needed when selling to a certain target audience.
Balancing perfection and time hardly ever exist in this space. There has to be compromises in order to ensure that something is "finished". Its a tough pill to swallow but expectations needs to be set in place, especially for Torinyan's case, which is to consistently provide products for consumers to use.
So much respect to Torinyan and in regards to your question, my take is that you should not do regional pricing. While it is slightly unfair to some, as Steam has showed us, people have and will take advantage of this to buy at cheaper prices. Which is why some publishers outright ignore regional pricing, and charge the prices that they want.

@C0-Eve ooooh a torinyan furry femboy avi would be sweet. even a non-furry femboy would be great. Even if it's not you next avi maybe somewhere down the line. If they don't already, gumroad or booth should allow creators to make polls to get better feedback from customers/fans. That way if they want to make something a bit leftfield they can get i good idea if it's gonna be worth. Just someway to have better communication. I can understand booth because japs kind of have an old fashioned mentality. Gumroad should though, can't be that hard to implement in the year of our lord 2023. I suppose you could use twitter for that, but it might not be a good representative of your actual customers.

@C0-Eve Since a lot of your consumerbase is more used to female avatars/lewder stuff it might not be an easy switch to go for a fully male avatar, but an avatar that has the option to be made into male/male passing without blender work would be really nice in my opinion! It's really rare to find good genderfluid avatars, especially ones that aren't kitbashes. Of course it never hurts to do a change of pace, so it's really up to you what inspires you! The regional pricing sounds really sweet, shows how much you care and how kind you are, but even as someone who is from a country that would be eligible for lower prices, I'm afraid people would misuse your kindness with it... (ironic coming from this site, I know) For ideas maybe a Runa plushie or a chibi/ low poly version of her or just a low poly avatar in general? I think that would be really cute. Also a follower pet/cute accessory that suits the robot theme.

Hey, I went out and got a couple of assets, namely the Turtleneck sweater and H3E-L5. Links are below.
Sweater: https://drive.google.com/file/d/13nOyT9Z9XhulPESzciZSnLGMRKhknx75/view?usp=drive_link
H3E-L5: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1M-_sO97E_HUYkD9YQqEReXi70U-e04Q9/view?usp=drive_linkI think these do require some Blender know-how, so if it is possible to make them ready, out-of-the-box, that'd be nice. Hope this helps!
