@GRW_Nomad @SillyGooberToob @nonpareils Don't get me wrong, I love Lividlily. But everyone should have constructive criticism, some people here DID pay for her avatars and stopped because they noticed a decline, false advertising, et cetera. I know I didn't pay for it, and I'm glad I didn't, there are many people who make their avatars entirely from scratch that deserve every cent. I love people who use the TVF base, which is why I love scarlettkat, yama, skuny, livid, pinkey, the list could go on, always on search for people who edit off that base because I can make a avatar that looks like me that isn't a super petite model or a bimbo model. Not many people allow tummy, dip hips, preggo, fit/petite/chub/thicc versatility, etc and many people do not rig assets to TVF base so I appreciate anyone who puts the extra time in blender for it. But for those who pay for the avatar, waited weeks on preorder, only to get an avatar with broken toggles, clipping issues, and skin problems it is upsetting and the complaints are valid. We are fortunate to get it for free, but think about those who paid. Like I said before I'm brown skin so any avatar with skin sliders matter to me otherwise I'll tweak it myself. I always think about people who don't know how to fix these things themselves when they purchase the avatar. Basic unity knowledge is a must, but some issues these 40 dollar avatars have require blender and other skills that shouldn't be necessary if you're expected to be able to import without problems. @tiredofts Agreed, that is what I'm disappointed about. A lot of her stuff is more kitbashed instead of putting the details and love she used to. I still think her avatars are cute, but I'm seeing less features recently. But either way I still spend hours in unity tweaking each one to my liking. I'm also happy she tried the starlight head, that is the only anime head I like from the western market
Otherwise I'm all Amelia and DUCC's.
@pinkcookie2777 also do you have an idea of how to fix the broken skintone shift? I'm not super unity savvy

@StarMom Well for me I just removed it and made it my complexion because there is no point in a slider if Im using my natural skin base instead of tats/fantasy/etc ya know?. My issue was that her materials weren't locked. But I've dealt with this issue with avatars of hers and others many times, usually:
~The material isn't set to animated on locked, right click on the part that animates the colour and select animate after lock.
~Move her fx to her controller, click animation tab in unity, look for skin animation, then record it and fix it with the colours on the skin material on inspector tab. Sometimes they mess up and don't record the animation properly
~If you only plan on using one skin, I recommend deleting the keys of the skin you don't use, or use that specific key to see the data so you can set her body to that as default.
~Check the parameters, fx, and fx parameters and see if the names are matched correctly, it is case-sensitive and must be EXACT. Also check the menu toggle and make sure it as radical and the name of the parameter which is usually skin/skintoneThere are other things that can go wrong, fortunately mine was easily fixable, but I've dealt with more complex issues relating to skin some creators miss, the biggest one I have is that their eyes and teeth go brown.

@irawryou Their other new avi Anne was so disappointing. They really half-assed it. The pre-sale said there would be multiple outfit options and hairstyle options, but there were neither. It's one hair style, one outfit. The shirt and pants both have obvious clipping. They added dirty textures but didn't bother adding toggles for them. Some of the main toggles don't work properly. It's a mess. I really love their avatars after I edit them generally, but the amount of work they need is a big bummer.
@SweetSangria Yeah, half assing the models is a common trend with their avatars. No idea why people keep giving them money for that reason lol

@pinkcookie2777 Do you get 48 errors and alot of missing scripts? I'm completely new to this and i don't know if it's the link i downloaded or it's my fault. TT

You probably forgot to install something, I uploaded with no issues.

@Sc4rletz Are you using VCC and VRCFury? If not, start with that. You should definitely not be having that many errors. That's not the model, that's something going wrong with what you're doing in the project. You're missing some part. Did you install the Poiyomi before you added the avatar file?

@SweetSangria I'm completely new to this, i just started picking up Unity wanting to make my own custom avatar and i have little to no idea (except the starter pack of noobs tutorial vid) what i'm doing. I'm using VCC and Unity only and i don't think i installed the Poiyomi addon i will try it out along with VRCFury! Thankyou so much for explaining TT

@Sc4rletz Yeah, you've got to learn to walk before you learn to run. Making a custom avi is a lot more complicated than just uploading an existing one. Some avatars include upload instructions, but not all of them. In general, you're going to want to make a 2022 project in VCC. I always add VRCFury and Gesture Manager. Some avatars require additional packages (sometimes things like Modular Avatar or Avatar 3.0 Manager). Some avatars include their own shaders, but most of the time once you've opened your project in Unity, you're going to need to import Poiyomi first. (You can find the latest version of Poiyomi in this thread: https://forum.ripper.store/topic/17276/poiyomi-shaders-dump-35-gb/266) Once you've imported Poiyomi, then import the avatar's Unitypackage. Check to make sure there isn't a blueprint ID leftover before you try to upload it. If there is, remove it first or you'll get an error and the upload will fail. If you're lucky, you'll be able to upload it basically as-is from this point though. I hope that helps. There are definitely some basic tutorials for how to do this on YouTube.
