What language do they speak in The Hobbit?

Noldorin matured into Sindarin. The languages of Men of Middle-earth were many, but most were only alluded to by Tolkien. He developed at least three with a grammar and a vocabulary: Taliska, Adûnaic, and the Soval Pharë ('Common Speech'), called Westron in English, spoken by Hobbits and Men in the Third Age.

Can you have a fire without oxygen?

A fire cannot burn without oxygen. You can show this for yourself, in fact: if you light a small candle and then put a clear glass upside-down over that candle (without touching the flame), you can watch the flame slowly extinguish as it uses up all of the oxygen that you have trapped around it with the glass.

Where did tiramisu come from and how did it come about?

Some sources claim that tiramisu can be traced all the way back to the 17th Century. A layered dessert similar to tiramisu was created by chefs in the Italian province of Tuscany to celebrate the visit of Grand Duke Cosimo di Medici to the region.

Which is the smallest country in the world?

Based on landmass, Vatican City is the smallest country in the world, measuring just 0.2 square miles, almost 120 times smaller than the island of Manhattan. Situated on the western bank of the Tiber River, Vatican City's two-mile border is landlocked by Italy.

            What does Shemp mean??

Fake Shemp or simply Shemp, is the term for someone who appears in a film as a replacement for another actor or person. Their appearance is disguised using methods such as heavy make-up, filming from the back, or perhaps only showing an arm or a foot.

Why does the moon control the tides?

The tides are due to the gravitational pull of the Moon and the Sun on the Earth. Because the gravitational force decreases as the distance squared, the part of the Earth that is closer to the Moon or the Sun is pulled a little extra and a bulge is created.

Why do birds bob their heads when they walk?

Most studies also suggest that birds in motion bob their heads to stabilize their visual surroundings. Unlike us, we depend on our eye movements rather than our head movements to hold the images presented to us while in moving. The back and forth movement is not random head bobbing.

What causes the color of the red sea?

Located between the East African coast and the Saudi Arabian peninsula, the Red Sea got its name because of a type of algae called Trichodesmium erythraeum, which is found in the sea. When these blooms of algae die off they appear to turn the blue-green color of the ocean to a reddish-brown.
