      https://pixeldrain.com/u/Qqhj1h7w

      de-gonso tool
comes with a usage instruction manual

      • 3 scripts

      (drag and drop into unity)
I will preface that this will work on most gonso avatars BEFORE trout by confusey or Ame by zoxl

Once dragged into unity after you import the avatar package, a korean tab will pop up. This will ask for 4 requirements
all of this needs to be exact and correct, otherwise gonso team will flag this as suspicious and probably disable the liscense key that you are trying to use.

      1. username (what you put into the vrchat SDK descriptor panel when uploading)
      2. display name (ingame name, how everyone sees you)
      3. creator name ( has to be EXACT)
      4. Liscense key.

Since this creates an encryption key to fix the resources of the original avatar.
There are manual things you will have to apply (gamemeshes to the right gameobject, applying the correct menu and expressions). Remember this is a small price for a fixed non-gonso avatar.

After everything is fixed you can delete the gonso.DLL in the gonsoliscenser folder to remove the gonso tab at the top of unity and will stop gonso from asking you for a liscense key on upload. in unity > assets > gonsoliscenser > gonso.DLL

this will cause the avatar descriptor to disappear which is okay, all you have to do is reimport the original avatar package and it will fix the missing popup.

(this was the exact message i received and there are more details inside the text file in the link!)

@akittycxt I took a look at the code of the scripts and I can confirm that it will decrypt gonso avatars! Since anyone can see how gonso works now due to this script, it's only a matter of time until they completely rework gonso (even then, we'll find a way around it πŸ˜‰ ).

@akittycxt The only thing is that you do need the full purchase information of someone who bought an avatar with gonso. To be precise, you need these:

          NEW GONSO

          • The avatar product id. (For gumroad, this can easily be found by running a simple curl command, after which it will tell you the correct product id. For payhip, it'll tell you on the download page after you buy the avatar.)
          • The license key. (You get this after purchase.)
          • VRChat Username. (Case & character sensitive! (note: vrchat usernames are stored lowercase!))
          • VRChat Display Name. (Case & character sensitive!)
          • Avatar name. (The avatar's name.)
          • Platform. (Depends on where you bought the avatar, can be either gumroad or payhip.)

          OLD GONSO

          • Avatar Name.
          • Platform.

(Yes, that's all that's needed lmao)

          THE CONTROVERSY WITH NEW GONSO

So, the thing about the new gonso system, is that it potentially logs your IP, as it does check whether or not you are on a VPN. Just be careful when trying to decrypt an avatar with the new versions of gonso!

            @akittycxt

I've seen that before, But from what I've heard it works on the older version. And because gonso is continuously updating this version is not the safest route, in any case for the newer models.

If anything I think it would flag the gonsoliscenser system and your IP would be more so at risk.

I'm talking to a friend and we are discussing a newer way to go around it. I'm supposed to be working on this model but practicing on anonther first to see how it goes.

Just stay safe and make sure not to put yourself at risk of anything! ❀

Gonso has explicitly stated (and proven to me fully multiple times) that he does not log IPs - he uses a public VPN detection API temporarily while he reworks some internal checks to protect his API from spam; you can see this in the newer versions of the licenser's source code after decompilation

still - be careful and be vigilant, as always remain a step ahead and be watching a step behind~
