I'll be honest, I used this site not only to find cute things, but also to try assets before I fully commit to them. Kinda like "try before you buy"! A pretty booth listing or gumroad listing can't always guarantee you a pretty asset. Sometimes it's too unoptimized, it's not available for certain avatars, or it simply doesn't measure up to your own expectations. Some creators dont have the time sometimes or the know-how to make worlds just to allow people to try on assets either. VKet 2022-2023 had a booth that let you try on clothing assets, but even that had its flaws. It just is easier to scroll around, find a DL, and drop it into unity if all you want to do is try something new. So if I like something enough, I'll buy it after (and if it's reasonably priced).

That last point is a reason many people decide to go on here though. Won't name names, but I will say some people overcharge on avatars that simply are just a base mixed with assets of other creators. Not everyone is willing to pay $70+ when they can either remake the avatar for cheaper or just get it from a post.
