<![CDATA[optimisation feels like a lost art]]>creators really post shit that will take an optimised avatar from being fine to very poor and not think about it at all. im not paying 40 dollars for something made by someone who doesnt understand the basics of how the game renders shit. if you cant take the time to consider draw calls and shit, im not buying it
am i losing it? i feel like more people used to atleast consider optimisation and note down the stats of their work

Kaiylast for example is a very good example for that. Kitbashes, reuses and retextures the stuff, if you have 1 of those avatars in the instance (mind you, 9800X3D and 5070 Ti OC Prime), the GPU goes from 50%~ up to 70-85%, depending how close you are to the avi (most of the textures aren't even compressed too).
If you have those couple-avis, especially the new ones, you are lost. Frames will drop from 120 (Q3 Hz cap) down to 60 ish.
They are so horrible. Not even considered optimized by a degree.

It is a clear sign of making fast money with fools who are also ready to pay for something which they may even not be able to use in front of a mirror. There is nothing more infuriating having people using avis in front of a mirror and complaining why their frames suddenly dropping.
