It's easier to keep track and make changes versus using just the png file or saving individual .psd files or clips.</p>
<p dir="auto">I don't use Live2D, I use Photoshop and Clip Studio Paint. Does that help your question? I didn't realize I had to explain to someone  if they had the .psd file. I've worked with graphics and such so I prefer to keep my work organized and retexture often for my own designs.</p>

You just edit the texture atlas pngs. the PSD that would be imported into live2d wouldn't help you anyway, because it would have to be organized into the texture atlas to work properly.</p>
